Fast, safe tree removal for Hiram homeowners.
Close to Douglasville
Hiram sits along the Hiram-Douglasville Highway corridor connecting it directly to Douglasville, and the newer subdivisions that have grown up along that corridor sit alongside older, more established residential streets closer to town.
Hiram is 9 miles north of Douglasville by GA-92. US-278 crosses GA-92 in town, and from that junction you can see Atlanta's tallest buildings; Dallas is 8 miles northwest. The General Assembly incorporated Hiram in 1891 and named it for Hiram Baggett, its first postmaster, and the 2020 Census counted 4,929 residents.

Trees & Weather
Many yards along the GA-92 corridor back onto a strip of tall loblollies left between subdivisions, with a few hardwoods closer to the house. Those pines are the trees that come down in summer storms. Southern pine beetle is the slower threat: the Georgia Forestry Commission says drought, flooding and storm damage all leave pines more open to attack, and an infested tree shows pitch tubes and boring dust on its bark. Needles that go from pale green to yellow to red-brown are the other warning the commission describes.
Hiram calls are usually about one tree: a pine over the roof, a dead oak by the driveway, or a limb hung up in the crown after a storm. One tree beside a house still needs a full rigging plan, so that's how we price it. The Silver Comet Trail has a trailhead in Hiram, and lots near it get the same care with where each piece lands.
Permits
We found no permit in Hiram's city code for removing a tree on a private lot. Addresses outside the city limits fall to Paulding County, whose tree rules we couldn't verify, so we check with the county before clearing more than a few trees there. HOA covenants are separate from both and can be stricter, so if your subdivision has one, read it before the work is scheduled.
Most Hiram calls are about one tree, and one tree beside a house still gets a walked assessment, a drop zone and a written price.
A good share of our Hiram jobs come from properties along the Hiram-Douglasville Highway, so we're familiar with the typical access and lot layouts in that stretch.
