Small trees often run $150–$450, medium trees $450–$1,200, and large or very large trees $800–$2,000 or more. Emergency or storm-damage removal can run higher depending on complexity. Every job gets a free, written estimate before any work starts — call for specifics on your tree.
It depends on your policy and the circumstances. Insurance is more likely to cover removal when a tree has fallen and damaged a covered structure, but less likely to cover removing a tree that's simply dead or leaning without having caused damage yet. First, stay away from the tree and any power lines it may be touching or near — downed trees can shift unexpectedly, and a tree in contact with a line is a serious hazard. Take photos for insurance if it's safe to do so, then call us. We prioritize storm and hazard calls ahead of routine scheduling.

Removals near a house, fence, or power line require more careful rigging and lowering rather than simply cutting and letting the tree fall, which is why experience and proper insurance matter more on these jobs than on an open-yard removal.
It depends mainly on the stump's diameter and how many you're having done. A single stump typically runs $120–$400, with additional stumps on the same visit usually $30–$60 each. Larger or harder-to-access stumps can run $300–$800 or more. We give every customer a free, written estimate before any work starts.
Generally no — grinding an existing stump isn't the same as removing a living tree, so it doesn't usually trigger the same permit requirements that tree removal can. If the tree itself required a removal permit, mention that when you call and we'll confirm whether anything else applies.
