Serving Mableton, Georgia
Fast, safe tree removal for Mableton homeowners.
Close to Douglasville
The western edge of Mableton, along the Veterans Memorial Highway corridor toward Douglas County, has a newer, faster-growing feel than the historic mill-village streets closer to Vinings and Smyrna — newer subdivisions sit alongside pockets of older growth.
Mableton is one of Georgia's newest cities: voters approved cityhood on November 8, 2022, the first council was elected on March 21, 2023, and the city was incorporated that May. The name goes back to Robert Mable, a Scottish immigrant who bought 300 acres in south Cobb in 1843, and his house still stands off Floyd Road. The western side we serve runs toward Douglas County, roughly 18 to 20 miles from Douglasville.

Trees & Weather
The Chattahoochee River forms Mableton's southeast border and the Silver Comet Trail crosses the city, so creek valleys and trail edges hold a lot of hardwood canopy. The paved trail runs about 61.5 miles, from Smyrna to the Alabama line. Big hardwoods on the older lots drop dead limbs, and pines in the newer subdivisions on the west side lean after heavy rain. Wet ground has a long history here: Mableton was a town once before, from 1912 to 1916, until a flood overwhelmed its sewer system.
Typical jobs on Mableton's western side: a pine too close to a newer house, hardwood limbs over a driveway, a dead tree by a fence shared with a neighbor, and stumps left from earlier storm cleanups. Lots here are often tighter than out in Douglas County, so limbs may need to be lowered on ropes instead of dropped, and that planning is part of the price.
Permits
Mableton took over its own zoning from Cobb County in March 2025 and lists a tree ordinance of its own, but we couldn't retrieve the text when we checked. Until we can read it, the honest answer is to call Mableton Community Development before a removal, and we make that call for any job that looks like it might be covered. Work near a creek also has to respect Georgia's 25-foot vegetated buffer along state waters.
We work the Douglas-County-adjacent side of Mableton most often, where the newer subdivision growth is concentrated.
As western Mableton continues to grow, we've kept pace, serving both its established and newer residential pockets.
